This section is the repository for a number of documents relating to the countywide audit of osteoporosis, falls and fracture prevention in Gloucestershire.

 

Summary of 10 years of service evaluation of falls and bone health

 

Recent activity in residential and nursing care homes is summarised in the abstract presented at the 2009 American Society for Bone and Mineral Research annual convention, Denver Colorado

 

This audit was developed in partnership with the Faculty of Education Health and Sciences at the University of Derby

Useful Resources

 

The County audits were used as a base for the nationally representative audit of 3.4 million GP records, commissioned and published by the Health and Social Care Information Centre.  The report is available for download

 

The Clinical Effectiveness and Evaluation Unit published reports of the national audits of falls and bone health are available for download from here.  The PCCAG was involved in the design and content of this work.
